Pesto Palmiers Recipe Perfect for parties and entertaining

These are so easy to make fabulous for entertaining or pre dinner nibble. On their own or accompanied with a cheese platter. 

This is for one sheet of pastry which will give you 15-18 palmiers. So you can double, tripple this to your preferances.

Pesto Palmiers 

Ingredients

1 sheet of frozen puff pastry

2 tablespoons of Pesto (red or green)

2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese grated

 

Method

  • Preheat oven to 220c fan forced.
  • Line an oven tray with baking paper.
  • Spread the two tablespoons of pesto evenly over one side of the pastry going all the way to the edges.
  • Sprinkle evenly the parmesan all over.
  • Roll small and tightly one side into the middle and the Roll the other side in to meet in the middle.
  • Wrap the pastry sheet back in the backing plastic and pop flat in the freezer for five mins to firm up.
  • Take out of freezer and slice evenly at 1/2inch slices.
  • Lay out on baking tray and give a spray with oil
  • Bake for approx. 25 mins till golden and pastry is cooked.

Yep perfect time to make them. They take no time at all so whilst you've got the pastry out and the oven on. :)
