Don Ham and cheese lunch box size pasties
These are fabulously easy to make, great one for the kids to help with. Make ahead and pop in the freezer.
Ham and Cheese Little Hand Pasties Recipe
We use DON® Premium Shredded Ham for its quality and taste and as its already prepared all you do is pop it in the mixture. So easy!
Ingredients:
250g Ricotta Cheese
250g DON® Premium Shredded Ham
1/4 Cup grated Tasty Cheese
1tblsp Sweet Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste
4 sheets of frozen Puff Pastry
Olive Oil Spray
Sesame seeds for top scattering (optional)
Method
Pre-heat oven to 170 degrees Celsius
Line baking trays with baking paper
Remove 4 sheets of Puff Pastry from freezer
In a large bowl add the Ricotta, DON® Premium Shredded Ham, grated cheese, sweet paprika and salt and pepper.
Gently mix it all together till it is well combined.
Using a circular cutter, cookie cutter or even rim of a glass. cut your circles.
Using two teaspoons to spoon and scrape a dollop of the mixture into one half of your circle.
Fold over your circle and press seal. If you are having trouble sealing you can run your finger in some water and run along one pastry edge then press together with the back of a fork.
Lay out on baking tray. Once you have your tray spray with oil (or brush your pastry if you prefer) and then scatter your sesame seeds.
Bake for approximately 25mins or until golden.
