Turkey Nuggets the leanest and tastiest way to make Nuggets

Make Turkey Nuggets instead of Chicken Nuggets.  Making them at home is really easy and these are so delicious, you have to try them.

Turkey Breast Nuggets

Turkey is Low in Fat and High in Protein so is a great meat for the family to enjoy

Here is my recipe for the fastest and tastiest Turkey Strips or Nuggets!

  • 1kg Turkey Breast Fillets sliced thin in to strips or into thin chunks for nuggets.
  • 1 packet of Panko Crumbs 200g. These are Japanese Breadcrumbs they can be found in Supermarket in the Dried Herb/Seasoning or Imported Products sections
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Tarragon Flakes
  • Butter/Oil for frying
  • 1 large zip lock bag

  1.  Whisk your eggs and Milk in a bowl and then put the cut up Turkey into the bowl and leave to sit for ten mins.
  2. Tip the entire packet of Panko and the Tarragon into the zip lock bag and give it a shake to mix it together.
  3. Quickly and Carefully using a slotted spoon or a couple of forks, drain the excess egg and milk mixture off the Turkey and put immediatley into the bag.
  4. Shake well and press the crumbs on to the Turkey so each piesce is well covered.
  5. Heat up your frypan to a medium to high heat and heat your oil or butter. I use half/half of each.
  6. Fry in batches. Couple of minutes each side. Drain on paper towel.
  7. Serve with Salad or vegies. Can be served in a wrap and they are great for lunch the next day :)

Do you know I've never made my own nuggets, chicken or turkey, how slack am I?! I always thought you had to mince the meat then bind it, but these look so easy I might have to give it a go!

Thanks for hosting again! I am a semi-vegetarian so I won't be baking these but feel free to invent a new vege treat for me to try!
