Crafty and spooky! Make this creation for Halloween.
Halloween Popsicle Basket Preschool Craft
I made this with Miss Three in preparation for Halloween. It was a great activity to do together and she was thrilled with the outcome.
I do recommend this activity for ages 4+
*With an adults help younger children can make this too.
You Will Need
- Popsicle sticks. We used exactly 51 for this project.
- Craft glue
- 2 x pipe cleaners
- Paint & a paintbrush if your sticks aren't pre-coloured
- Optional: 4 different sized googly eyes
Lets Make It
- Have a plate or plastic base to make your bracket on. It will need to stay on this to dry
- Make a square with 4 Popsicle sticks, glue them down at the corners and repeat this till you have your desired height but leave 2 remaining for the handle. We used 38 sticks to make the frame
- Twist the two pipe cleaners together and tie the ends around the middle of your last 2 Popsicle sticks for the frame then glue these down to the frame. Glue the googly eyes onto the corners.
- Make your base by lining up 11 Popsicle sticks and spreading glue over the top and along the edges. Position the frame on top and leave it to dry.
- Keep it for trick or treating or as a display in your home.
Happy Halloween Everyone!
