Teletubbies 20th Anniversary Giveaway

Did you know its been 20 years since Teletubbies hit our screens?  It was an instant hit with the littlies and now those youngest of audiences who were first to meet Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lah Lah and Po are adults and sharing the show with their own kids - crazy!

Teletubbies 20th Anniversary and Giveaway

We recently had the pleasure in joining the Teletubbies at their celebratory Anniversary party and boy those cuddly characters know how to party! So much colour, dancing, food and fun.

Teletubbies have been seen by over a billion children in over 120 territories in the last two decades. You'll also find it in over 45 languages! Thats a heck of a lot of "Eh-Oh" and "Again! Again"!

So why is it so popular?  Why does it appeal so much to babies and youngsters?
It is written just for babies to preschoolers. Its bright, simple and clear.  Its make believe yet its real - no CGI characters here.  I guess simply these huggable characters behave and do funny things just like the kiddies they appeal to.

With the 20th Anniversary celebrations come a few changes to the Teletubbies we love, starting with 21st century touch screen tummies and Tubby the mobile telephone.

Teletubby land and Home Hill have had a bit of visual magic done and its looks fabulous with flowers that you see grow from buds to full flowers which add wonderful colour. There is also a new windmill made from natural materials. We all wish we could really go there.

There are some new voices joining with the distinctive sounds and narration and the new episodes are only 12 minutes long which I think makes it a good length for when you just need to get something done kids free (a bit more than a five minute show) or when out and about on a mobile device.

Little kids love this show, however it used to drive me crazy BUT it did give me time to drink my coffee when it was hot because the kids were so engrossed in their funny looking happy friends.

Congratulations to Teletubbies on their 20th Anniversary it really is quite an achievement when you think how many kids TV shows have been and gone over the last two decades.  May they take the very early learners to wonderful places with lots of happy and funny times for decades to come.

We'd love to celebrate the Teletubbies 20th Anniversary with you too.  We have very exciting giveaway with many thanks to Teletubbies for their generosity.

Oh wow, 20 years really? Love these cute little characters so much. Their bright colours and cheerful natures are so infectious, plus they keep the kids entertained.

I remember 20 years ago waking up and watching Teletubbies. I was a teenager but I'd watch it before going to work as it was best thing on tv that early in the morning. Now my kids enjoy watching them

That they keep the kids amused, entertained, out of mischief and not squabbling, clearly they're vibrant and fun, just what kids need. But all this aside, I do not see what the appeal is at all, they drive me insane being so utterly, totally annoying! But they make the kids happy, and that's all that matters to this Dad.

They may speak gibberish but they always have a sweet little message to tell. I think my kids just love how the Teletubbies laugh, dance and explore their way through every show. Most of all I love them because they are my survival as when they come on they let this mum take 5.

Teletubbies are fantastic original creations and our five year old girl is fascinated by them. She would adore this prize :)

What I love is that my older children watched Teletubbies and I know the song very well, so this has come in handy with the new revival as I still can remember all the words and can sing along.... much to some of my families horror.
0 # Renee Ballantyne 2017-05-19 22:35
They express so much without saying anything
0 # Jody Smith 2017-05-20 00:04
I love the way they wibble and wobble and when they cross to footage of real kids doing activities.
0 # Cathy B 2017-05-20 08:10
My little one really enjoys Teletubbies,
Gentle entertainment while I clean up after my bubbies.
He loves Twinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-laa and Po,
The music is the signal to stop, listen and go.

My favourite thing is working out who is a BOY and who is a GIRL... Just when I think I have it mastered I change my mind. I love watching and trying to guess...
0 # Peta 2017-05-20 14:28
I use teletubbies as bribery
I know, shock belief!
When my kids are behaving
And not causing me grief
We snuggle together
Myself and two boys
Tucked in together
Cuddling our toys
Watching our 4 happy friends
Giggle and play
Showing that working together
Is always the best way
Then after its over
They know its nap time
While I still dance and sing
The teletubbies rhyme

Disliked the insane chatter initially but little ones relate and found program so riveting I've had to change my opinion and agree it's so entertaining.
0 # Jenny Learmond 2017-05-28 15:58
They're so cute and colourful. My kids loved them and now I'd love to give my grandkids the chance to have their own TELETUBBIES to love!
0 # Kirsty 2017-05-31 12:34
Miss 1 loves getting her groove on when the Teletubbies do...
Master 2 is learning his colours made easier by colourful teletubbie suits...
