These entertain for days! Make an Ocean in a bottle
A week later and we are still playing with these. Lots of versatility as to what you'd like to put in your ocean. Here is our ideas, Enjoy!
Ocean In A Bottle Fun Kids Craft
You'll need:
- A jar or bottle. We used plastic incase the kids drop it. This I bought with flour in it but a plastic bottle is fine. (just can't get shells and fish in it but we made one and stuck the fish to the outside)
- Sand (optional glitter)
- Shells or rocks
- Water. To one we added a couple of drops of blue food colouring
- Fish. We ended up using pipe cleaners that we just twisted and i tied a piece of cotton to them and glued the string to the outside of the lid so they would continuously swim (not sink or float like dead fish)
- Super Glue. If you are concerned about water going everywhere just glue the lid on.
How to:
Place your sand in the bottom of the bottle
Add your shells and rocks (and glitter)
Fill with water (couple of drops of food colouring)
Pop in your fish
Screw on the lid. (glue it on if required)
