Great thong making fun with the kids for Australia Day
Australia Day Bunting
These few easy steps and you'll have yourself some thongs for an Australia Day or Pool Party.
You'll need:
- Paper
- Scissors
- tape or glue
- String for the bunting
1. Cut out an oval shape then fold over in half and just mark a fold on the sides not the middle.
2. Take your scissors and cut around evenly from half way around to half way.
3. Fold over the cut piece.
4. Using a piece of tape or glue, tape down the toe piece onto the thong.
5. bend up the toes piece a little so it stands up better and not flat.
6. put a little hole it the top of your paper thong and thread onto your string.
You're done - too easy!
You can leave them off the bunting and use them to decorate pool fence or table cloths for any beach/pool party.
note: i did this with my children hence the imperfections in our oval cutting and some of our thongs are a little scrunched but its all in fun and they love it!
