This Australia Day hat can be made in a few minutes and only cost $0.75!
Kids love dress-ups, my 3 year old daughter is no exception. Australia day is such great fun but there isn't a lot of dress up items out there for the kids, so a little brain storming with some supplies I picked up for the event and ta dah, a simple Australia Day hat for the kiddies.
For one hat, you'll need:
- 2 x Australia Day paper plates (I got these in a pack of 6 for $2 at Coles)
- Scissors
- Stapler
1. Cut the center out, careful to leave it whole so they can be used as 'ears'.
2. Staple both ring together on the inside.
3. Trim the center circles down about 2cm
4. Staple them to the inside of the rings.
5. Fold the 'ears' up and they're ready.
