christmas stocking ideas

We're helping Santa with a GIVEAWAY and some filling ideas!

Ah Santa, Its that time again and we know how you don't like to fill the stockings with rubbish, we know how fresh ideas can be tricky and we know that you're short on time. SO we've put together a list to help make some of that decision making easier on you.

We've also got three great things to help the stocking filling job!

Santa Stocking Filler Ideas and a Christmas Giveaway

  • Stationery - Pens, textas, crayons, chalk. They're all good and the little packs of "special ones" fit in perfect. Rulers, erasers, pencil cases, Key-rings and Bag tags.Stickers, special tapes. Most school kids need new ones for school so stock them up!
  • Little lego construction packs, puzzles or activity like a Rubics Cube.
  • PJ's, Socks and yes Santa has brought Undies at our place.
  • Kids Magazine or Colour In books. A Small book an activity one is great for quiet times over the holidays.
  • Torch or night light. Our Santa loves the little Pillow Pets Dreamlites, perfect for sleepovers.
  • Swimming Goggles and Sunglasses. We seem to need these every year.
  • Cookie Cutters, kitchen tools and aprons. Real or for play.
  • Game Cartridges or gift vouchers for game consoles.
  • Yo-yo, Bouncy ball, Hand Ball, Tennis Balls or Marbles. We usually need a new Cricket Ball over Summer.
  • Bubbles, ribbon wands or something for the beach or pool.
  • Toy Cars. Hot Wheels or these fantastic Car TrackTape and Train Tape are great fun.
  • Bath Crayons, Bath bombs, Bath shape oils or Roll on Soap. The roll on soap comes like a roll on deodorant. I get this from AVON.
  • Play make-up and jewellery, hair bands or a watch.
  • Rainbow Loom Bands. I'm not sure about your house but we always seem to need another colour.
  • Travel size games or card games.
  • Book or Music on CD.  My kids love listening to books on CD in the car.
  • A big lolly pop. You know those big ones from actual lolly shops. I'd never let my kids have these so Santa gets them.
  • Wind up toys. They rarely live past Christmas day but they do provide entertainment for a while.
  • Crafty Stuff. Some googly eyes, pipe cleaners, glitter and sparkle thingies, foam bits. Maybe a couple of kits to entertain for the Summer. Anything that restocks the Craft Box for another year.

So many great ideas - you've always got such a great collection of out of the box ideas! I love popping some stationary into the stockings as little extras. I'm definitely going to bookmark the cookie cutter idea though - that's a keeper! p.s. kinetic sand is the best!

Our son sees an OT to improve his fine motor skills. So one of the things we are encouraging is Lego building. There are so many sets out there to take his interest. And we will all have fun building and creating and he won't even realise it's part of his programme. I love Christmas and all the joy it brings to our children. It's a precious time.

A cork for our son who is three. It's the only thing he has asked Santa for as he wants to use it to make prints in play dough and clay.

My Little Pony collectibles will find its way into Santa's sack because fortunately for me, a real horse was too big to pack!

We've love to try the Chill Maker or Kinetic Sand. I have it on good authority that Santa has bringing a yellow combine harvester to a small obsessed boy this year and there's some Princess Duplo and Elsa shoes for his big sister.
