Easy, crafty, useful and spooky! Make this creation with your child this Halloween.

Halloween Popsicle Basket Preschool Craft

I made this with Miss Three in preparation for Halloween. It was a great activity to do together and she was thrilled with the outcome.

I do recommend this activity for ages 4+

*With an adults help younger children can make this too.

You Will Need

  • Popsicle sticks. We used exactly 51 for this project.
  • Craft glue
  • 2 x pipe cleaners
  • Paint & a paintbrush if your sticks aren't pre-coloured
  • Optional: 4 different sized googly eyes

Lets Make It

  1. Have a plate or plastic base to make your bracket on. It will need to stay on this to dry
  2. Make a square with 4 Popsicle sticks, glue them down at the corners and repeat this till you have your desired height but leave 2 remaining for the handle. We used 38 sticks to make the frame
  3. Twist the two pipe cleaners together and tie the ends around the middle of your last 2 Popsicle sticks for the frame then glue these down to the frame. Glue the googly eyes onto the corners.
  4. Make your base by lining up 11 Popsicle sticks and spreading glue over the top and along the edges. Position the frame on top and leave it to dry.
  5. Keep it for trick or treating or as a display in your home.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
